Humidity Check False Alarm

smithlorensmithloren
I have the following warning set:

Set status to WARNING when the humidity is less than 20% or greater than 90% rH

The humidity monitor constantly alters between Warning and Normal with the following error:

Warning level: 85.25 (returned value) less than 90

Why is it that when the warning threshold is set to be greater than 90% rH, I get notified that the level is less than 90? Is this a bug?

Can you upload a screen capture of your sensor configuration through http://tinypic.com/ or similar?

Here is the Alert Configuration Page:

Ok this is for the monitoring software and not the sensors itself.

Topic will be moved to Monitoring Software category

Can you reconfigure the check by

    1) Clicking the "Detect Probes"

    2) Selecting the designated probe ID

    3) Double checking the down and warning alerts configuration

    4) Don't forget to save

    Looks to still be occuring:

Warning level: 54.13 (returned value) less than 90

May we know what version of the software you're using? Please make sure to update to the latest version. Currently, it's 10.1.6.

I've been running the latest version of 10.1.6

Basing from the uploaded screenshot, there's no IP address defined in the field. You might want to fill that one out.
  • smithlorensmithloren
There is an IP address - its probably just another bug that doesn't display the address when editing the configuration.

Please debug the monitoring service: http://wiki.serverscheck.com/index.php/Monitoring_debug

Upon receiving the false warning alarm on humidity (less than 90), you can stop the debug service.

After which, please attach the log file.

    Thank you for that.

Basing on the debug log, it shows there's a little bit of misconfiguration made on the check specifically on the the warning status configuration.

For that, kindly go to the involved check's configuration window and

    1) Select 'Warning Alerts'

    2) On the 'Alert when:' section, choose 'All warning and on each status change'

I believe that will solve it. Please do inform us upon applying the recommended workaround.

    Thank you.

I've made this change and still receive warning indications with the following reason:

Warning level: 77.76 (returned value) less than 90

Do you mind debugging it again for me to check into it. And also, please kindly include your configuration files.
