How to get sensor gw to keep current time/date? When I locally attach to sensor to program it, and check the sntp enable, server = default, time zone = 0 (pst) sync period = 24

here is the current gw settings > WC_GW3 (WC - data center - rack 3) Alert:On 01 January 2012,00:03:31 (GMT+0) WC_temp3 : WARNING (67.89)

notice that the sensor gw keeps losing the time/date settings?

Thanks, Ron

What SNTP server do you have defined?
  • airronairron
    sntp server = us.pool.ntp.org

    1) your time zone is incorrect - 0 is GMT

    2) are the 2 led's steady on, on the Sensorgateway? especially the orange one

    3) Increase sync period to every hour

    sntp enable, server = 2.north-america.pool.ntp.org

    time zone = -7 (pst)

    sync period = 1

Just to be confirm the SGW's internet connectivity, is it able to send out email alerts?
  • airronairron
Yes, the email alerts went out fine. So I think I fixed it. I went ahead and updated the firmware to 3.06 even though it was already at that level, now the time seems to be accurate.

Glad to know it like that. When similar eerie problems arise, after troubleshooting, you can consider doing a re-uploading of the firmware.
