Unable to monitor PERFCOUNT

Hi,



I'm currently testing serverscheck, I try to monitor PERFCOUNT on a remote computer but I permanently have the following error:

Error:"ERROR: Performance counter retrieval failed with error code: C0000BC6"



Serverscheck is runing on a windows 2003 standard edition and launched under the domain admin account.

The PERFMON check is also launched uner the domain admin account.



I'm very interested by using that feature from serverscheck.

    Is the Performance Counter started on the remote computer you are monitoring?
  • I'm not sure to understand your answer, do you mean having performance console launched on the remote server, or are you speaking about a service launched on the remote server?

    both: the service and the performance console launched. We have seen in some situations where the perf counter would not run unless the console was running.
