Graphing issue in release 5.10.2/3

AdministratorAdministrator
Some customers have reported that after upgrading to 5.10.2 or 5.10.3 they are experiencing issues with the graphing component.

We have isolated the issue as being part of the new service component which does not appear to behave as expected in some configurations.

If you are a 5.10.2 or 5.10.3 user, then we kindly invite you to upgrade to 5.10.4 either by using the upgrade.exe or following the steps as described in following url:

We do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you.

    Follow-up on above message:

in 5.10.2 we introduced in the monitoring service internal watchers that would keep an eye on how the monitoring application is doing.

Since these features were asked for we have looked at several options of addressing it. It has been decided that a new free add-on component will be made (and released as beta first).

This add-on will run as a service and monitoring following:

    - runaway threads of memory_check and similar

    - graphing queue piling up (> launching second instance of s-graphs.exe until queue is cleared up)

    - checks no longer being performed by starting / stopping service.

This will be part of 5.10.5 and we are doing our utmost to have it released within the coming 2 weeks.
