Multiple Domino Checks locks out the ID

We have multiple Domino checks configured under ServersCheck, if these checks run concurrently then the error returned is:

Notes error: The ID file is locked by another process. Try again later

There needs to be an automated way within ServersCheck to only run one Domino job at once.

You could solve this by:

1/ Set the number of retries > 1

2/ Use different check intervals



3/ or use the Professional version for Notes monitoring (since that version performs the checks sequentially)

Number 3: How do we determine what version we are using? I was under the impression we were using the professional version.

The version is written in title bar of your browser when going to the ServersCheck application

That version is multithreaded and so checks are executed by design in parallel. The only way to solve your issue is by modifying check intervals so that they do not overlap and to increase the retry.
