What version are you running? 5.10.8? If not then please upgrade as this is an issue related to 5.10.2 and has been solved since then (see release notification sent to subscribers of the mailing list available at http://www.serverscheck.com/helpdesk)

I just downloaded the 5.10.8 version (we are not running this version). Can I just run setup? Does it upgrade the existing version? Will it keep all the existing configuration? Do I need to reapply the Enterprise key?

    Thanks and Regards

If you use the update.exe (or upgrade.exe) and then there is nothing to backup. Your config will remain unchanged. Just follow the on-screen instructions.

However you can also run the setup but then follow the instructions in the knowledge base at

    http://kb.serverscheck.com/index.php?page=index_v2&id=12&c=5

When I run UPDATE, it downloads several files and then quits giving the following error:

Failed to down load file from web. (#6, line 18)
  • AdministratorAdministrator
Have you stopped ServersCheck completly as stated in the dialog screens.

If so and the problem still persists, then follow the instructions in the knowledge base at:

    http://kb.serverscheck.com/index.php?page=index_v2&id=12&c=5

Thanks. One of the services was in a suspended state. I killed it and the upgrade completed. It upgraded to version 5.10.6 (not 5.10.8). I hope that is ok.

    Thanks and Regards

Our apologies. It seems that a backup restored the old files on our file server for updates.

We have reset the new files which you can now obtain by running the upgrade.exe again.
  • gantidgantid
thank you very much. That fixed the event log problem. I will wait and see if it hangs up the server.

    Best regards
