Removed sensor does not 'remove'

I have a sensor whose IP was changed. I updated in the app but it never worked. I then went and deleted it so that I could re-add but instead it is stuck, no way to delete/edit - it just sits there. How do I remove a hanging sensor?

    what version of software are you using?

    try to delete the Gateway and the sensors.

    then re add them.

    was on 16.4.7 (which is where the gateway was removed), then upgraded to 16.4.9 but no change. The gateway is gone, the sensor is not, and I do not see a way to delete the object.

    If thats the case then just go to the sensor settings page (click on your sensor and then settings)
    You should see a delete button on the lower right.

    that should delete that sensor permanently.
