Power Sensor Timeout

We are adding 2 new power sensors in the existing monitoring system. However, we are getting the following error:

1) while testing: "Status is down"

2) sensor check: "Timeout has occurred"

While pinging the sensor, it showed "time:10ms"..one time, it showed "time: 12ms". Is this part of the problem?

We can ping the tibbo device..and it is giving response.

Software is ver.7.15...

Any advice? Thanks!

power sensor is connected properly as the status states that it is okay...however, when we turned off the power for the sensor, the status still states that it is okay..but upon testing, we will get a reply that it's status is down..in addition to this, we are not receiving messages/sms alerts eventhough it was already configured with the existing monitoring system.

    urgent recommendation is required...thanks!!

7.15 is an old version of the Monitoring Software. If you have a license, then upgrade to the latest release.

but the license will work with the monitoring system version that came along with it, right?! all the other sensors previously installed are working properly..moreover, if we need upgrade, do we have to pay extra for it?

    thanks for the info..

You can try following for the power sensor time out:

    1) Connect the serial to ethernet cable to the Tibbo Device server

    2) Power up the tibbo device server

    3) When powered up, plug in the sensor

This should resolve the time out issue.

We still have the same problem with the sensors...moreover we downloaded the freeware (monitoring system for 20 monitors - part of the promo) from the website.. we tried updating the software to 8.2.x but the problem with the power sensor still there. The old software+license was bought from Servers Check are more than a year old..is there any other way to fix this problem?

    pleae advise urgently....

Products are covered by a one year warranty. If the problem persists, then you can contact sales for a return under warranty. Please refer to this post.

we also tried using new power sensors but problem persists..

tried using different versions of softwares but each gives out different errors for the sensors..

    ver 7.0...status cannot be refreshed..

    ver 8.0...error time out occured..

ver 8.2...unsynchronized block of code error..

    please advise..thanks!!

As per page 2 of the user manual, this error means that the .NET 1.1 framework wasn't installed

    thanks!!

.NET 1.1 and 2 frameworks were both installed..unsynchronized block of code error is not there anymore but it still states that error time our occured.
