Hello, I have a problem with my Temperature sensor I recently buy.

The main network interface is flapping all the time.

- with or without PoE

- with or withou external Sensor

- I tried two distinct device on the same firmware version

Hardware Version : Release 4.0

Firmware Version : Release 2.08

Do you have any ideas ?

What do you mean with flapping?

What is the MAC address of each device?
  • darckosdarckos
By flapping I mean: UP / DOWN / UP / DOWN

MAC of the sensor is : 00:03:64:03:14:72

MAC of the switch is: 78:fe:3d:dd:df:84

Can you give the MAC address of the 2 sensors you have
  • darckosdarckos
Here is the MAC of the second sensor : 00:0364:03:5:0F

Could you try with a different router? I checked case history and no flapping case has been reported to date

Also do you have any probes connected to it when you have this flapping?

I would assume that each Sensorgateway has its own IP address - correct?

I've connected the sensor to a "basic" linksys swith. The linksys is connected to my "old" router.

I don't see any more lost of connectivity for the moment.

Do you have any explanation ?
  • AdministratorAdministrator
    That's good news.

No I am sorry but I don't have an explanation. My guess is that there seems to be a conflict somewhere in your router.

Is there any way to acces to log of the sensor to try to find something because this solution is not really THE solution?

is there a way to turn off the autonegotiation of the sensor ?
  • AdministratorAdministrator
no this can't be turned off
