Remote Site monitoring

Hi,

I'm trying to put together a solution for a remote setup where there is no LAN network available.
I have never used the LTE module before but at the least product video for the 'base-mobile' seems to suggest that I still need to connect it to a LAN network.

Is it possible with any combination of sensors to have a base sending alerts over the LTE network without any local lan connections?
We are basically trying to start monitoring for leaking in an offsite storage but there is no network available.

I think this is what you need in conjunction of course with the sensors you require https://serverscheck.com/sensors/addon-wireless.asp

its a new add on where you don't need cables if you go full LTE.

Sensor_Panda That was my expectation but I wasn't sure how it would work without a fixed IP, I guess I will need to set a daily "everything is okay" alert so we know to check to see if there is a problem with the sensor itself.

I was hoping to find someone who has used the WIFI module I can't find a lot of information on it.

well a fixed IP would depend on your network provider/SIM,and without a fixed IP alerts would still trigger and be sent to you. now since you said you are on a remote site without any network ... as of now the only way to know if the device is still working is to yes have it send you an alert or have regular checks within a month. another thing is you could add it to the cloud beta https://my.infrastructuremonitoring.com/ if you no longer get data from your gateway then something might be wrong with the device itself or the SIM run out of internet data.
