Configuration download & license

Good morning,
I'm creating a monitoring system for my customer with the Appliace.
It's installed into a virtual machine with win7 64bit.
After some checks I'd like to move the configuration from my virtual machine to target pc.
How can I transfer the configution files?

Another question:
what are the vantages to use the licensed Appliance respect a only freeware version?

Freeware version is only allowed when being used by a non-profit organization (Governments excluded). Configuration is stored in the /conf subfolder. A license is required per installation of the software.
