Problem with unix agent

I am attempting to set up ServersCheck Standard 5.0.6 as a proof of concept for my company, but I am running into a problem with the unix agent. I have compiled the source on two different linux machines. The agent runs just fine and I receive a process list when I telnet to the client on port 5555. When I set the client up on the server, the server is unable to perform the check. It continually says the process is down even if the process is running and is in the list I receive when I run telnet to the server. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have been impressed with your product so far and this is one of the last hurdles before my company will consider purchasing your product. Thank you.
