What are the exact settings of the DS202 (assuming you configured as per manual instructions)? Is the DS202 configured using Tibbo's tool? (Pages 3-5 of manual)

Most common error is that port speed is not set to 1200 bps but to a higher value.

Also run the sensor in debug mode:http://kb.serverscheck.com/index.php?page=index_v2&id=40&c=8

    but with following command

    sensor_check -L log.txt -C TCP X.X.X.X:3001

where X.X.X.X is the IP address

    Settings seem correct.

Is there any firewall between the software and the sensor?
  • nrenounrenou
    No.

    Nothing on the LAN.

    My firewall is disabled.

We did a test with your config loaded into a Tibbo and it replied fine.

Check if the device answers on port 3001. You can do that by using the ServersCheck Monitoring Software trial edition and creating a TCP rule

In your config you have DHCP defined. Beware that IP address might change and that you will need to change the settings in the software when it does.
  • nrenounrenou
    With the Trial edition :

    - TCP check on port 3001 --> OK

    - Temperature rule, Test of parameters --> Not OK (Timeout has occured)

Telnet on port 3001 --> Still Not OK

There might be a defect in the sensor which we can never exclude although each sensor is manually tested prior to shipping.
